The New York Times has a very comprehensive look today at the role of the Ukrainian KGB (SBU) in stopping a massive atack against the demonstrators. I talked to my Russian specialist today who confirmed much of the story from “his sources” as well. SBU forces actually threatened to attack Interior Ministry troops should they move against the protestors. Interesting read.
