More interviews

CES coming up in Vegas (this is my fourth or fifth) I’m getting some more attention for the convergence of Internet Radio via PenguinRadio and podcasting and the whatnot. Today I was interviewed by some business reporter, though I’m not exactly sure what magazine will be running the story. In case you were wondering, when I was at CES two years ago, I got a hotel the same week of the convention, on the strip, for like $75 or so. This time, with no more COMDEX, the hotels have been sold out for weeks and I’m staying at a crappy dump for $40 a night somewhere far away from the action. Just can’t see myself paying $250 for a strip hotel room that is $50 the rest of the year. Anyway, I’m in Vegas Thursday and Friday. Drop me an e-mail or comment if you want to meet up.]]>

Bill Gates votes, King County Ballots messed up

William Gates (Bill, as in Microsoft) voted absentee according to this website by the Seattle Times. Perhaps his vote was one of those that bloggers are talking about when they say there are 3,500 more ballots then there were VOTERS in King County during the recent election. Sounds a bit fishy. 7 match(es) found WILLIAM A GATES KENT 98042 Voted Absentee WILLIAM H GATES, JR SEATTLE 98105 Voted Absentee WILLIAM T GATES, IV SEATTLE 98115 Voted Absentee WILLIAM T GATES, III FEDERAL WAY 98023 Voted Absentee WILLIAM H GATES MEDINA 98039 Voted Absentee WILLIAM DALE GATES, JR AUBURN 98092 Didn’t Vote WILLIAM C B GATES AUBURN 98092 Voted Absentee]]>

Wired mentions me today

Wired Magazine used some quotes I gave them last week about Podcasting. Andrew Leyden, president of PenguinRadio, which maintains PodcastDirectory.com, said he particularly likes Whole Wheat Radio, a Northern Exposure-esque show produced by a married couple who talk about life in their small Alaskan town, as well as play and review music. Leyden also touted the comedy talk show The Dawn and Drew Show. “They’re definitely outrageous,” he said. “They definitely show you why the FCC does not regulate podcasting. They sometimes go over the top a little bit.”]]>
