Channel News Asia is reporting that biometric passports, including facial recognition and fingerprint scanning, will soon become part of the Singapore airport. It will also have the capability to add mustaches and facial hair, along with a few extra pounds to travellers so they can recongize the inevitable changes. Sounds pretty cool. Every day at 11:00 this is the scene outside of the house. A Customs Enforcement boat comes up to the seawall and drops off about a few cops who go to lunch in the neighborhood. The relationship with the water and those who work on it is kind of casual. Boats come up to the wall all day and all night with people jumping on and off as if it was boarding a subway train. Sometimes I see them come of the pilot boats with little lunch boxes, just as if they were coming off the late shift.]]>

About ten minutes past every hour, the ferries rush to take gamblers to Macau. They usually pass the house in formation.

Some of the ferries are hydrofoils, which are just plain cool if not a little loud.

The US Consulate in Hong Kong has partnered with Fedex to provide Free Return of Ballots for the election. I just faxed in my request, and should get a fax back of my ballot shortly. Now just to figure out how to vote for…. yeah right.]]>

Podcast Directory that I have running. This, in turn, become important for PenguinRadio’s database growth. All in all, it’s a real pain. Anyway, it’s kind of nice outside but stuffy inside. I’m not sure if I’ll adapt to this weather anytime soon. ]]>
