I beat that one.

Like many folks who went to college, I’ve had the dream that you haven’t studied for a final  / you signed up for a class and didn’t attend / slept through the final exam, etc.  I’m not entirely sure why but there are many who say you secretly have some paranoia about failure to finish something or that school was a momentous event in your life and you still worry you didn’t get through it.

In so many of these dreams, at least the ones I’ve had, I’ve always said ‘I missed the chance to drop the class’ (eventhough I don’t think I ever actually did drop a class during school).  But last night, while sleeping particularly hard, I had missed a full semester of French or Literature or something and the final was coming up soon (actually I think it was introduction to screenwriting).  But somehow I managed to make it over to the administration building, went inside and talked to the admins and they called things up on the computer and viola, I got a WP–Withdraw Passing.  Woohoo.  You can withdraw from classes in the college of my mind up until finals.

Now to just remember this factoid the next time I have the dream.
