For what purpose? Why, to "clean up" the streets & impress foreigners, of course. Using the admittedly conventionally-prettier Lin to 'front' their opening ceremony is, by their very actions, a no-brainer. Still, imposing ADULT beauty standards on little children does make one feel more than a little queasy. But if Chinese officials stubbornly insist on matter over mind, why not use a bit of imagination & "work" on Yang? She's actually quite cute too - all she needs is a good dress & change of hairstyle, which shouldn't be too difficult, no? I have buck teeth too... mine are worse though...:D they are so horrid they deprived a 7 year old of her chance to sing with her angelic voice... its a gift not everyone can have.
